A Journey from Pain to Purpose
Hello, I am Sara, a passionate and warm-hearted practitioner with a strong foundation in Biomedical Sciences and nearly a decade of experience working alongside healthcare professionals in the NHS.
My journey toward wellbeing began in 2015 following a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Hypermobility. Lacking in Medical support and understanding and facing widespread chronic pain and mental health challenges, I turned towards holistic health and started to practice Yoga and Meditation, seeking support and relief.
A pivotal moment in my healing journey occurred when I witnessed the profound impact of my emotions in the worsening of my symptoms. Motivated by this realization, and to the fact of struggling to find accessible resources, I delved into a diverse range of healing modalities to support my well-being, such as yoga, meditation, reiki, acupuncture, sound healing, breathwork, somatics, etc.
Through the years of personal growth and self-healing, I decided to deepen my understanding of some of these transformative tools that had aided my wellbeing.
Fuelled with the purpose of helping others to face the difficulties I encountered in my healing journey I qualified as Yoga Teacher in Bali in 2019 and as Mindfulness Teacher in 2020 and completed numerous continuous development courses since. I became enthusiastic about modern yoga, emphasizing fascia-biomechanics and the mind-body connection, both on and off the mat. Most recently I qualified as Mindbody Syndrome Practitioner (Chronic Pain & Symptoms coach), CBT coach and Reiki Practitioner and dedicated myself to empowering others on their path to wellness.
Although I was living with great quality of life despite the managed chronic pain, my symptoms flared up in 2022 when nearly burning out. I delved into neuroplasticity at that time and found out about Mindbody Syndrome (Tension myositis syndrome). This revelation proved to be a turning point, radically transforming my experience of pain and providing a profound understanding of the hidden psychology of pain. I embraced the neuroscience-based approach to rewire the brain to overcome medically unexplained and persistent chronic pain and symptoms and healed from Fibromyalgia and the symptoms that came with it.

My mission is to support and empower others on their paths to wellness, in the midst of life difficulties.
With a wealth of knowledge and personal experience, I became a pillar of hope and support for those navigating the complex landscape of chronic pain and symptoms. My mission is to guide clients on a safe and inclusive healing journey from the inside out, by tailoring practices of accessible Mindfulness, Yoga and Somatics, Reiki, empathy based CBT and the latest neuroscience Chronic Pain and Symptoms Coaching skills.
I firmly believe everyone has the innate potential to find joy and balance, and I’m dedicated to illuminating that path, blending modern science with age-old wisdom, aiming not just to heal, but to empower individuals to truly thrive and flourish in life.
Along this healing journey, I aim to inspire and support clients to connect with their bodies and emotions, fostering acceptance, letting go of physical and emotional pain, and enhancing overall mental and physical health.

Although I have been attending Reiki sessions since 2017, I only recently completed my Usui Reiki certification level 1 in 2023 and level 2 in 2024. This healing modality has been crucial to find balance and insight, particularly over the last year during my chronic pain recovery.
Mindbody Syndrome Practitioner
2023
An internationally recognised certification as MindBody Syndrome/TMS Practitioner. With this certification I am able to coach and educate clients on the mindbody dimension behind chronic pain and symptoms, and to teach them pain reprocessing exercises and other brain rewiring techniques based on Pain Neuroscience research and Nervous System regulation. Accredited by ACCPH, IICT and IPHM.
CBT T.E.A.M.
2023
Certified by Feeling Good Institute, I completed my level one in T.E.A.M. CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). Feeling Good Institute therapists practice many types of therapy, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, EFT, PE, IPT and more, but the thing they all have in common is they’re all trained and certified in a framework for conducting therapy that includes the processes known to be most effective. Named TEAM-CBT and developed by Dr. David Burns, it is eight times more effective than other treatment approaches. Clients see a 30% average reduction in suffering per therapy hour and meaningful improvement within 5 sessions.
Mindfulness Teacher
2020
In 2020, I qualified as a Mindfulness Now teacher with the UK College of Mindfulness Meditation. In 2022, I deepened my qualifications by completing a 12-Month Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy Teacher Training Programme with Oxford Mindfulness Foundation (OMF). The OMF works in collaboration with Oxford University developing science based curriculums backed up with research. OMC curriculums are developed by a great team in which Mark William and Williem Kuyken are part.
Yoga Instructor
2019
I earned my 200h Yoga Teacher Training certification from a prestigious Bali Yoga Institute in 2019. This intensive training exposed me to a vast array of traditional yoga philosophies, postures, meditation and breathing techniques. This was the foundation of my holistic path and I’ve been guiding individuals on their journey towards holistic well-being through the art and science of yoga since. I am currently working towards my 500h Yoga Teacher Training certification with international and inspiring teacher, Janet Stone.

I have always been a science and health enthusiast. I completed my qualification in Biomedical Sciences, at the University of Algarve in Portugal, where I am originally from.
