Undestanding Mind-Body Symptoms
Modern neuroscience and mind-body medicine show us that the brain and nervous system play a powerful role in how symptoms are created and maintained.
When the nervous system has been under long-term stress or shaped by past experiences, it can remain in a state of protection.
This can influence pain, fatigue, digestion, immune function and many other physical symptoms.
Healing often begins with understanding the relationship between the mind, the body and the biology of stress and trauma.
My approach:
Mind-Body-Biology
My work integrates three key dimensions of healing.
Mind
Understanding mind-body symptoms, neuroscience and neuroplasticity so that fear and confusion around symptoms can begin to soften.
Body
Somatic healing and nervous system regulation that help restore safety, interoception and connection with the body.
Biology
Supporting the body’s resilience after long-term stress, including the biological impact of trauma and chronic stress.
This integrated approach helps people move from survival and symptom management toward greater safety, freedom and vitality.

Drawing from my background in Biomedical Sciences, Mind-Body Syndrome Practitioner, Mindfulness-based CBT, Somatic Healing and Yoga, I combine evidence-informed education with embodied practices that help the nervous system move from protection toward safety, resilience and connection.

For individuals experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety or persistent physical symptoms that may be linked to stress, trauma or nervous system dysregulation.
Many people I work with have spent years searching for answers, often feeling confused when medical tests show little explanation for what they are experiencing.
Through a blend of mind-body education, compassionate coaching and somatic nervous system practices, we gently explore the root cause and patterns that keep the body in protection and build the internal safety needed for healing and recovery.
This work supports you in moving from fear and frustration around symptoms toward greater trust, resilience and freedom in your body.
Yoga & Somatic Movement
Gentle, nervous system–aware movement practices designed to support regulation, body awareness and reconnection with the body.
These sessions move away from performance-based yoga and instead invite a slower, more compassionate relationship with movement — helping the body release tension, restore safety and build resilience in the nervous system.
Practices may include gentle yoga, somatic movement, breathwork and deep relaxation, supporting both physical wellbeing and emotional integration.
This work is especially supportive for those experiencing chronic stress, fatigue, persistent symptoms or recovery from burnout.
Somatic Leadership Coaching
For high-achieving professionals, entrepreneurs and purpose-driven leaders who want to create success without sacrificing their wellbeing and wish to live from a place of autenticity and centered-heart.
This work is particularly supportive for those who recognise patterns of perfectionism, overworking or burnout, and who want to lead and live in a way that feels more aligned, sustainable and fulfilling.
Somatic Leadership Coaching integrates nervous system awareness, emotional resilience and values-based reflection to support a different way of working and living — one rooted in clarity, purpose and freedom rather than constant pressure.
It is also a powerful next step for individuals who have recovered from mind-body symptoms and are now exploring how to rebuild their lives in alignment with what truly matters to them.
A personalised and integrative approach
While these are the main ways to work with me, each client journey is unique.
Depending on your needs, our work may also integrate complementary approaches such as Reiki, Somatic bodywork with self-myofascial release techniques, which can support nervous system regulation and deeper connection with the body.
These approaches are integrated as part of coaching or workshops rather than offered as standalone treatments.

My signature Somatic & Myofascial Release Workshop teaches practical tools to release tension, improve body awareness and support nervous system healing.

About Sara
I’m Sara Santos, an Integrative Mind-Body and Somatic Coach primmarily working with people experiencing chronic pain, persistent health symptoms and nervous system dysregulation.
My work bridges mind-body medicine, somatic healing, trauma-informed nervous system practices and biology, helping people understand the deeper relationship between stress, emotions, the brain, body and their nervous system and the biology inside our bodies.
Before dedicating my work to mind-body healing, I trained in Biomedical Sciences and spent over a decade working within the NHS and as Yoga Teacher. Yet it was my own experience with fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression and multiple unexplained symptoms that led me to explore the profound connection between the mind, nervous system and physical health.
Through years of study and personal healing, I discovered how approaches such as mind-body medicine, somatic practices, compassionate mindfulness-based CBT and nervous system regulation can not only transform the way we relate to pain, stress and the body – but also, support us to work in the root cause of dysregulation and illness.
What once felt like a broken body became a doorway into deeper understanding, resilience and freedom.
Today I combine my scientific background, professional training and lived experience to support others in reconnecting with their body and working at the deeper roots of mind-body symptoms, so healing becomes possible rather than simply learning to live around the symptoms.
