About Sara

From surviving symptoms to living fully

There was a time when my life revolved around my symptoms.

I experienced chronic pain, burnout, fatigue, anxiety and depression, along with digestive issues, pelvic pain, skin problems, dry eyes, insomnia and recurrent allergies. I also struggled with multiple joint issues, chronic tendinitis and carpal tunnel, and received diagnoses such as fibromyalgia and hypermobility.

Over the years, I underwent two hip surgeries, relied on orthotic insoles and other aids, and was taking bags of medications — yet many of my symptoms still didn’t fully make sense or improve in a lasting way.

Days felt like something I had to get through rather than truly live. I was constantly scanning my body, managing discomfort and trying to prevent things from getting worse. Over time, it began to feel like life was simply passing me by.

I felt stuck, disconnected, and deeply frustrated with my body. There was also a sense of unfairness that was hard to shake — a feeling that I didn’t deserve what was happening to me. For a period of time, I found myself caught in that place of fear, frustration and even victimhood, not realising that another way of understanding my experience was possible.

When everything beging to shift

Despite my background in Biomedical Sciences, and years working within the NHS, I couldn’t find answers that fully explained what I was going through.

At the time, I was also already deeply invested in my wellbeing. I was a yoga teacher, practicing regularly, meditating, and taking care of my nutrition. From the outside, it looked like I was doing everything “right”.

But underneath, my system was overwhelmed.

Eventually, I reached a point of burnout. My symptoms intensified, with strong flare-ups, chronic back pain and other persistent issues becoming more pronounced. It felt like everything was getting worse, not better — and that was the moment I realised something deeper was missing.

It was then that I came across mind-body medicine and nervous system work, and for the first time, things began to make sense in a different way.

I started to understand that my body wasn’t failing me — it was responding. Responding to long-term stress, emotional patterns and a nervous system that had been in survival mode for too long.

What I had been doing before was supportive, but it was mostly addressing the surface. This work invited me to look at the root patterns driving my symptoms, and to begin relating to my body in a completely different way.

As I engaged with this approach, my symptoms didn’t just become more manageable — they began to change. But even more importantly, my relationship with myself and my body began to shift in a profound way.

A deeper transformation

My Work Today

A compassionate

and human approach

From Healing to Purpose

For many people, healing mind-body symptoms is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of something new. As symptoms begin to shift, there is often a natural movement towards wanting to live differently — with more alignment, more honesty, more purpose.

This is where the work can expand into how you relate to your life, your relationships and, for some, your leadership. When the nervous system is no longer operating from constant survival, it becomes possible to make decisions, create and lead from a place of clarity, presence and expansion rather than pressure and stress.

You are not broken

If you are reading this here, there is a reason.

Your body is not working against you, it may be trying to protect you. And when you begin to understand that, everything can start to shift.

“I attended Sara’s workshop with an almost clinical expectation of working tennis balls along fascia lines – what I experienced however was a wonderfully immersive and wholly integrated mind-body release. I left the session with a completely different body and mindset and a state of relaxation beyond anything I’ve felt following a deep tissue massage or a restorative yoga class. It was as if the web of held tension throughout my entire body had dissolved. I can’t thank Sara enough for her deeply immersive sequence and for sharing her knowledge of this powerful release method.

It was a glorious session and I learnt so much! I also feel so much better – I have had pain in my index finger for a few years now and now I don’t – absolutely fascinating!”
